Shoppable Video on Shopify With Shopfluence, an Honest Look
Many Indian D2C brands already shoot short vertical videos for Instagram, then send shoppers to a product page that shows none of them. Shopfluence, a new Shopify app from a Jaipur team, puts those videos on your store with the products tagged, so a shopper can watch and add to cart in one place. This post covers what the app does, what it costs, where it fits, and what to check before you install a brand-new app on a live store.

App details are from the Shopfluence listing on the Shopify App Store and the getshopfluence.com website, checked on 9 October 2026.
What is Shopfluence and what does it do?
Shopfluence is a shoppable video app for Shopify. You add short videos, tag the products that appear in each one, and show them on your storefront in a format the shopper can buy from without leaving the page.
The Shopify App Store listing describes it as a way to "turn Instagram and TikTok videos into shoppable content". It lists the developer as Shopfluence, based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in the Video and livestream category. The listing shows a launch date of 6 October 2026, so on the day we checked it was three days old with no reviews yet.
The Shopfluence website gives more detail on how it works:
- Video upload. MP4, MOV, MKV and WebM files up to 500 MB, transcoded to adaptive streaming at 360p, 540p and 720p.
- Product tagging. You search your Shopify catalogue and tag the products featured in each video.
- Three storefront layouts. Stories (a strip of circles), Carousel (scrolling 9:16 cards) and Grid (a wall of videos).
- Full-screen player. Tapping a video opens it full screen with product tiles, and a "Shop Now" sheet shows variants and stock.
- Cart behaviour. Add to Cart keeps the shopper on the page. Buy Now sends them to checkout. Sold-out variants are greyed out and compare-at prices are shown.
- Analytics. Views, clicks and click-through rate per video, playlist and store, over 7, 30 or 90 days. Paid plans add orders, revenue, conversion and average order value.
One detail worth knowing: the App Store listing talks about importing videos from Instagram and TikTok and about organising creator content, while the website describes uploading video files and does not mention creator features. If importing straight from Instagram matters to you, confirm how it works with the developer before you choose a plan.
Why put shoppable video on a Shopify store at all?
Because the video already exists and is currently doing nothing on your website. Many brands post Reels every week while the store shows still photos only.
A product page with only photos leaves shoppers guessing about the things video answers quickly: how a kurta falls when someone walks, how thick a serum is, how big a bag looks on a shoulder, how a gadget clicks into place. Those are the questions that turn into returns and "is this the actual colour?" messages on WhatsApp.
Shoppable video does not fix a weak offer, slow pages or a confusing checkout. If shoppers are adding to cart and not buying, the problem is elsewhere, and our post on why add-to-carts are not turning into sales is the better starting point. Video helps most when people land, browse, and leave without enough confidence to add anything at all.
If you are deciding between Instagram's own shopping features and sending traffic to your store, read our view on Instagram Shopping and redirects first. Shopfluence works on the store side of that decision.

How much does Shopfluence cost?
There is a free plan, and two paid plans priced in US dollars and billed through your Shopify bill. These are the plans as listed on the App Store on 9 October 2026.
| Plan | Price | Videos | Creators | Views a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 10 | 10 | 5,000 |
| Growth | $49 a month, or $500 a year | 100 | 100 | 50,000, then $10 per 1,000 extra views |
| Scale | $149 a month, or $1,600 a year | Unlimited | Unlimited | 250,000, then $10 per 1,000 extra views |
The paid plans come with a 15-day free trial. The website says the free plan needs no card.
The number to watch is views, not videos. Pricing is based on monthly video views, so the cost rises with traffic. If you put a video carousel on your homepage and run a big sale, every visitor who plays a video counts. Before you pick a plan, look at your monthly sessions in Shopify analytics, decide which pages will carry video, and estimate views from that. Do not assume the plan that fits a normal month will fit a festive one.
Which plan should a new Indian brand start on?
Start on the free plan, because it is enough to test the idea properly. Ten videos covers your best-selling products, and 5,000 views a month is enough for a smaller store to learn whether shoppers actually tap the videos.
Move to Growth when two things are true. First, the free plan's analytics show people watching and clicking through to products. Second, you want the order and revenue reporting, which the website lists on Growth and not on Free. Paying $49 a month before you know whether shoppers engage is spending money to find out what the free plan would have told you.
Scale makes sense for brands with a large catalogue, a steady flow of creator content, and enough traffic that 50,000 views would run out. The website also lists priority support and custom onboarding on Scale.
Where should shoppable videos go on your store?
Put them where the shopper is deciding, not everywhere. Video players add weight to a page, so each placement should earn its place.
- Product pages. The strongest placement. One or two short videos of that exact product, showing it in use. This is where uncertainty kills the sale.
- Collection pages. A Stories strip at the top works for fashion and beauty, where shoppers browse by look.
- Homepage. A carousel of your best Reels can work, but it is also where views pile up fastest. Watch your quota here.
- Landing pages for ads. If a Reel is running as a Meta ad, showing the same video on the landing page keeps the experience consistent.
Shopfluence installs through an app embed and a theme block. Shopify's help centre explains that app blocks need a compatible theme, while app embeds work with any theme version. If your store runs an older or heavily customised theme, check that you can add the block in the theme editor before you plan placements around it.

Will shoppable video slow down your store?
It can, so measure it rather than trusting anyone's claim, including the app's. The Shopfluence website describes the app as "light on your storefront" and mentions lazy loading, which is the right approach. But every video widget adds scripts and media requests, and Indian shoppers on mid-range Android phones and patchy mobile data feel that weight first.
A simple way to check:
- Note your current mobile performance in Shopify's web performance report and run a test on your main product page.
- Install the app and add videos to one page type only.
- Test the same page again on mobile, and watch the web performance report over the following days.
- Keep the placement if the page is still fast. Remove or move it if it is not.
If your store is already slow before any video goes on, fix that first. Our breakdown of speed optimisation work for Indian stores covers what usually causes it.
What should you check before installing a brand-new app?
Shopfluence launched on 6 October 2026. A new app is not a bad app, but it has no track record yet, so do the checks that reviews would normally answer for you.
- Test on a duplicate theme first. Duplicate your live theme, add the block there, and preview it on mobile before publishing anything.
- Check your checkout path. Buy Now hands off to your normal Shopify checkout, so your Razorpay, Cashfree or COD setup is what the shopper sees next. Place a test order from a video to confirm the cart and checkout behave as expected.
- Check variants and stock. Tag a product with several sizes, mark one size sold out, and confirm the Shop Now sheet greys it out as described.
- Ask support a question before you pay. How quickly and clearly a new developer answers tells you a lot about what happens when something breaks during a sale.
- Know how to remove it. Uninstalling an app does not always remove every block or embed from your theme. Note where you added it so you can clean up if you stop using it.
- Read the privacy policy. The listing links to one. If you are careful about what data apps collect from your shoppers, read it before installing.
Is Shopfluence worth trying for your store?
If you already make short product videos and your store shows none of them, yes, the free plan is worth a test. It costs nothing, it is built for vertical video, and the cart behaviour keeps shoppers on the page instead of sending them off to Instagram.
Hold off if you do not have video content yet, if your store has speed problems you have not fixed, or if you need a long track record before adding an app to a store that is taking festive orders. With Diwali on 8 November 2026, the safest time to add and test something new is now, not in the week before.
